Our home is a 1963 ranch situated high on Mt. Tabor, with a westerly view of Portland, OR. The house has 5 bedrooms, one king bed, two queens, two twin beds. We have a fantastic deck that overlooks the city, a perfect place to enjoy a Portland sunset. The house has a great kitchen for those who like to cook: a 5-burner gas cooktop, two ovens and ample supply of pots, pans and cooking utensils. We have a great hifi stereo system and home theater setup, including a large music and movie library. The house has wired and wireless internet. Our daylight basement makes for an excellent rec room, including a sauna and TV.

Our house is immediately adjacent to one of Portland's best parks: Mt. Tabor Park. The park covers 196 acres in the Portland city limits and includes a great playground, a basketball court, tennis courts, trails, picnic areas, and sweeping views of the city and Cascade mountains. Further afield, we are walking distance from the Montavilla neighborhood including a summer farmer's market, The Academy theater and great restaurants such as The Country Cat and Ya Hala. Our house is about a 20 minute drive from the airport, and is an short drive or transit ride away from a wealth of exceptional restaurants, coffee shops, parks and arts in the southeast and greater downtown Portland area.


If you are interested in visiting Portland, you are probably aware of the wealth of activities in the surrounding area: wine and beer tasting, snow skiing, golfing, ocean surfing, wind surfing, rafting, waterfalls, rivers, fishing, and a near endless supply of amazing forest and mountain hikes.

For destinations within driving distance of Portland, we are mostly interested in long weekend getaways. We are interested in one to three week stays for other locations such as Hawaii, France, Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Japan, Korea, New York City, San Francisco and any other suggestions you might have!

Jerry is a computer engineer, Katie is self-employed as an artist. We are in our late 30's / early 40's and we have two delightful daughters (4.5 and 2.5 years old) who are the focus of all of our love and attention. We would love to travel both within the US and internationally. We have spent most of our international travel time in SE Asia, Mexico, Europe and Canada, and we are anxious to experience more. Also, we are very interested in short or long weekend trips within the drivable area surrounding Portland.

We are very neat and clean people and will be careful to follow any instructions that you have for your home :).
