Our neighborhood consist of two streets. Our neighbors are mostly cajun French Americans. Several of our neighbors speak cajun French. Our home is within walking distance of our small downtown historic area. Breaux Bridge is the crawfish capitol of the world. Our town has a festival every May across the street in the park. We have the advantage of small town living within miles of Lafayette. We live about 2 or 3 miles from the famous Mulates cajun restaurant.

Our little town is six miles from Lafayette,a major Louisiana city. We are 45 min. from our Capitol City of Baton Rouge, and 2 1/2 hrs. from New Orleans (all expressway driving). We are the Cajun Culture and have the best Cajun music and food.

Gregg chooses when he takes his vacations. He gets 5 weeks a year and 5 personal days. The personal days are nice because we can make a four day weekend. We have to make sure it doesn't interfere with his company obligations (that has happened).

New York, just about anywhere. I think we would like to skip Europe this year and go 2011. The east coast of the U.S. might be nice. We do love the ocean so we would be open to the coast of Mexico. We would love to do weekend exchanges, maybe even a four day exchange.

Gregg and I (Linda)have 4 grown daughters and eleven grandchildren. I am 1/2 Italian 1/2 German-Irish. I was a military brat growing up. My husband has an Irish and Polish backround, and he is from Grand Rapids Mich. We have been married 41 years. Gregg is an executive for a Texas based grocery co. Gregg enjoys golf,reading, yardwork, listening to music. I enjoy cooking, decorating, sewing, reading, gardening, flower arranging, traveling, and driving Gregg crazy. I have tried to make our home both formal and casual. Our home is a true year round vacation home and we feel it is a true part of heaven in Louisiana.I am 59 my husband is 60 in Aug. I am the adventurous one who drags him along. I have traveled to the Orient many times and have lived in Hawaii for 5 yrs. Two years ago we did a Tuscany Italy exchange. We have also exchanged with a family from Belgium, Scotland,France, Florida ,and Sanoma. So far the exchanges have been fantastic. We are a very down to earth family and I probably am a bit to friendly. I never meet a stranger(I must have gotten that from my dad being in the military).I put no children and just us two in number in party, but we may invite another couple or two just depending. My two oldest grandchildren are 12 and 15 so they might also join us. I would alway let you know first.
