It is about two minutes from the tram which takes you to the center of Bordeaux in 10 minutes. Grocery stores, bakeries and restaurants are a three-minute walk.

The apartment is located 10 minutes by tram from the center of Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The région is world-famous for food and wine and there are many prestigious châteaux where you can discover the local specialties. The Basin D’Arcachon and the Atlantic Ocean are less than an hour by car or train, and the Landes région with its lakes and sporting opportunities is an hour to the south.  Easy access to Paris (three hours by train, or one hour flight on Air France), Spain (45 minutes to Barcelona on Vueling Airlines) and London (an hour on British Airways or EasyJet).

Joelle and Alain (former CEO) are early-retirees who love to travel. Between us we have three adult children who have their own lives and do not travel with us.

The apartment is our second résidence, available for our friends and family and for home exchanges. We live nearby in a suburb of Bordeaux.  

We are young retirees, and are open to visiting any destination. Our hobbies are traveling, sport (Alain plays golf), music of the 70’s, nature and good food and wine.

We have completed 6 (or however many) successful home exchanges. We are careful and conscientious and will take very good care of your home, as we hope you will do with ours.
